Meet some singers (and our musical director)
Mitch Kwanten, Musical Director.
Mitch is a Sydney based musician, composer and producer who sings and is a skilled instrumentalist. Mitch holds a Bachelor of Composition from Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Mitch has taught singing at Sydney Vocal Arts, Newtown High School of the Performing Arts and Mosman High School.
Just recently retired from full time singing in the shower, thanks to unwelcome comments such as “put a sock in it” and “not born to be wild again” I decided to go where my prodigious talents would be fully appreciated.
I’m still waiting of course; but what a bonzer bunch of blokes.
I didn’t think I could sing until I worked out that I was a Bass.
Bass singers are the engine room so for me now, the choir is a very happy space
I joined because my wife told me to!
And now I’ve found out that I’m a bass (so much easier for me than singing like a tenor).
We have great music to sing that blokes our age know and enjoy.
Great bunch of blokes, who also happen to like a drink every now and then. Cheers!
